TASK-OPS-104-02 · Task family
Quote configuration. Valid product bundles, prices, currencies, discounts and terms.
Overview. Produce a valid, correctly priced quote in the customer's currency.
The agent configures a quote from a request: seats, an add-on with a prerequisite, a currency and a discount. Price books differ by currency, and some add-ons require a minimum edition.
The quote must be valid in the CPQ system and arithmetically exact, not just plausible.
Value to the buyer
Quotes are where small arithmetic and rule errors become revenue leakage.

Sample prompt. What the agent is asked to do, as a buyer would see it.
Quote Vireo Systems for 250 seats of the Professional edition plus the Analytics add-on, on a one-year term billed annually in euros, with a 15% discount on both. The EUR price book lists Professional at €88 per seat per month and Analytics at €12 per seat per month. Analytics requires Professional or higher. Discounts up to 20% need no approval.
Verification criteria. What the verifier checks, and how.
Currency and price book
EUR price book used, not a converted USD price.
Bundle rule
Analytics is valid because the edition is Professional.
Professional line
250 × €88 × 12 = €264,000, less 15% = €224,400.
Analytics line
250 × €12 × 12 = €36,000, less 15% = €30,600.
Total
€255,000 for the year.
Approval
No approval requested, since 15% is within the 20% threshold.
Key failure modes. Where agents go wrong on this task.
- Converting USD prices instead of using the EUR price book
- Applying the discount only to the main product
- Requesting unnecessary approval, which delays the deal
