TASK-OPS-104-01 · Task family
Opportunity data reconciliation. Correct account, contacts, products, stages and opportunity records.
Overview. Bring the opportunity, account link, contacts and products into line with the contract and the latest quote.
An opportunity's records have drifted: it's linked to a subsidiary instead of the contracting parent, a contact is duplicated, and the products on the opportunity don't match the latest quote.
The agent has to fix the records so that downstream quoting and billing work, without deleting history that the sales team relies on.
Value to the buyer
Clean CRM data is the precondition for every downstream revenue task.
Specification. The task family, field by field.

Sample prompt. What the agent is asked to do, as a buyer would see it.
The Pellham Group renewal opportunity is linked to Pellham Logistics GmbH, but the draft contract is with the parent, Pellham Group plc. Two contact records exist for the same procurement lead, and the opportunity lists products from an older quote. Clean up the records so the deal can move to quoting.
Verification criteria. What the verifier checks, and how.
Account link
Opportunity linked to Pellham Group plc, the contracting entity.
Contacts merged
One contact remains, with both records' activity history.
Products aligned
Opportunity products match the latest quote.
Stage
Stage follows the stage definitions, not the rep's request.
History preserved
No activities, notes or prior quotes deleted.
Key failure modes. Where agents go wrong on this task.
- Deleting a duplicate contact instead of merging it
- Creating a new opportunity rather than fixing the existing one
- Leaving the subsidiary link because it has more activity
